The Castello della Castelluccia is one of the best charming residences in Rome. Regal and elegant, it proudly preserves all its mystery and magic. Immersed in an extraordinary natural context, perfectly restored and able to fully show its glorious past, it has always boasted an unparalleled welcoming tradition. Already in the year 1364 it was known as the hotel of the noble Muti family and offered refreshment to travelers to Rome (Giuseppe Tomassetti, La Campagna Romana).
Located in the Veio Regional Park, this ancient castle features an outdoor swimming pool, a wellness center with a brand new sauna and a free shuttle service to / from Giustiniana Train Station.
Built on the vestiges of a Roman villa of the imperial age between the 12th and 13th centuries by the noble Cancellieri family, Castello della Castelluccia has always belonged to noble families who have left deep traces of their passage over the centuries and visited by illustrious figures such as the Pope Pius VII and Queen Christina of Sweden.
The 23 rooms of the Hotel, including 5 suites, envelop the guest in an atmosphere of other times: each one different from the other in architecture and furnishings, are finely decorated with antique furniture, terracotta or wooden floors, beamed ceilings, marble bathrooms and four-poster beds. You can then relax in the wellness area of ​​the complex where you can regenerate followed by a specialized staff among whirlpools and the Turkish bath.
The restoration of the Castle, entrusted to Chef Ivano Belli, offers a traditional cuisine linked to typical dishes and particularly attentive to the choice of raw materials where local products are preferred.
We stayed one night and we were able to test every profile of the location. The restaurant is wonderful and of the highest quality, the interiors renovated as the interiors of a historic residence should be restored.
The staff is kind, friendly, ready to satisfy every need. The spa is small, but welcoming, and also allows you to reserve an hour of personal well-being, in full solitude, to couples or individuals who request it. Our opinion on the castle of the castelluccia is very positive. We would like to recommend it to anyone who wants to treat themselves to a special day or event, in a place still endowed with the charm of the Middle Ages and the green hills around Rome.

Il Castello della Castelluccia è una delle migliori residenze di charme di Roma. Regale ed elegante, preserva orgogliosamente tutto il proprio mistero e la propria magia. Immerso in un straordinario contesto naturale, perfettamente restaurato e capace di mostrare pienamente il suo glorioso passato, vanta da sempre una ineguagliabile tradizione di accoglienza. Già nell’anno 1364 era conosciuto come l’albergo della nobile casata dei Muti ed offriva ristoro ai viandanti alla volta di Roma (Giuseppe Tomassetti, La Campagna Romana).
Situato nel Parco regionale di Veio, questo antico castello presenta una piscina all'aperto, un centro benessere con una sauna nuovissima e un servizio navetta gratuito da/per la stazione ferroviaria di Giustiniana.
Costruito sulle vestigia di villa romana di età imperiale tra il XII e il XIII dalla nobile famiglia Cancellieri, Castello della Castelluccia è sempre appartenuto a nobili famiglie che hanno lasciato nel corso dei secoli profonde tracce del loro passaggio e visitato da illustri personaggi tra i quali Papa Pio VII e la Regina Cristina di Svezia.
Le 23 camere dell’Hotel, incluse 5 suite, avvolgono l’ospite in un’atmosfera d’altri tempi: ognuna diversa dall’altra per architettura e arredo, sono finemente decorate con mobili d’epoca, pavimenti in cotto o in legno, soffitti in travi, bagni in marmo e letti a baldacchino.
Ci si potrà poi rilassare nell’area wellness del complesso dove rigenerarsi seguiti da personale specializzato tra vasche idromassaggio e il bagno turco.
La ristorazione del Castello, affidata allo Chef Ivano Belli , offre una cucina tradizionale legata ai piatti tipici e particolarmente attenta alla scelta delle materie prime dove si privilegiano i prodotti locali.
Noi abbiamo soggiornato una notte e abbiamo potuto testare ogni profilo della location.
Il ristorante è meraviglioso e di altissima qualità , gli interni ristrutturati come dovrebbero essere ristrutturati gli interni di una residenza storica.
Il personale è gentile, cordiale, pronto a soddisfare ogni esigenza.
La spa è piccola, ma accogliente, e permette anche di riservare un ora di benessere personale, in piena solitudine, alle coppie o singoli che lo richiedano.
Il nostro parere sul castello della castelluccia è molto positivo. Ci sentiamo di consigliarlo a chiunque voglia regalarsi un giorno o un evento speciale, in un luogo ancora dotato del fascino del medioevo e delle colline verdi intorno a Roma.
